Portugal 3 - 0 Mozambique International Friendly
After announcing Luis Nani’s injury ruling the Manchester United forward out of the World Cup, Portugal laboured in the first half against Mozambique as Simao and Liedson both went close for the Europeans while Mozambique came closest when Momed Hagi cracked a shot against the post. Six minutes after the restart Portugal struck, Deco threaded a defence-splitting pass that combined with Danny’s incisive burst from midfield and the Zenit playmaker rounded the keeper to score. Carlos Queiroz’s Selecao doubled their lead 15 minutes from time when Bremen’s Hugo Almeida finished off a pacey attack after being teed up by Danny. Hugo Almeida completed an excellent second half for Portugal tucking home the rebound from a 30-yarder from Cristiano Ronaldo seven minutes from time.
